The Truth About some Hormones and Fat

After watching several episodes of the Biggest Loser, you might wonder how the contestants lose all the
weight and maintain their losing streak.  Is it the exercise, the diet plan, or both?  You will then feel sorry for yourself if you will know the answer since you might not be getting the same results.  You might be one of the many people who tried losing weight and did, but stumbled upon a huge block just right when you are near your ideal weight goal.

When this happens to you, you feel cheated and at often times give up and go on gaining again.  Well, don’t be frustrated because the cause of this unwanted fats are simply your hormones and there are ways to battle them out.

Big Hips and Estrogen

Is it a wonder why the female species have wider hips and larger bottoms than their opposite partners? Well this is not a wonder anymore because this difference is caused by the female sex hormone estrogen.  This hormone brings with it fats that are mostly stored in the lower part of the body.

How to lose these fats would require you to do exercises that would manipulate this hormone and this is also true for men.  If you’re a man that does not want to have “man-boobs” then better check your estrogen levels and try workouts that keep this hormone on its seat.

Bulge from the sides, rolls on the back, and Insulin

For those people who have bulges hanging from their waist and rolls on their backs, blame it all out on insulin.  If you are insulin resistant, then there is a very big chance for you to gain rapidly and store fats in these mentioned areas.

But don’t worry since there are now certain types of training exercises that can counteract your insulin resistance problem.  These exercises do not only help you carve those hanging and bulging fats out, but can also increase your insulin sensitivity making you less likely to store fats in your body.

One pack flab and cortisol

The last and most common storage for fat in your body is the belly area.  This is very common to both men and women and is caused by a bad diet plan and the ever persistent hormone, cortisol.

Cortisol is often associated with stress and one way to flush the effects of this hormone out is through resistance training.  But take note that over exercising and long cardio exercises would increase the levels of cortisol in your body.  So, it is better to use short, yet intense type of workouts   to get rid of those unwanted flab in your belly area.
